Friday 25th October
Crime and Dine: The Garth Hotel
7:00pm Cocktails –why not start the evening with a Bloody Mary?
7:30pm Enjoy a three-course dinner with authors Mark Douglas-Home, Alex Gray, Michael Malone, James Oswald, Caro Ramsay and Aline Templeton. Organised in tables of ten with two authors per table so there will plenty of opportunity to chat to the writers and mingle with other crime fiction fans. Writers will swap tables between courses.
Tickets are £25 which includes wine –advance booking required.
Saturday 26th October
Crime Writing Workshop: The Garth Hotel
10:00am –11:00am Led by poet and crime writer Michael Malone.
True Crime in the Highlands: The Grant Arms Hotel
11.30am –12:30pm A talk by Malcolm Archibald, author of “Whisky Wars, Riots & Murder: Crime in the 19thCentury Highlands & Islands”
Murder She Wrote: The Grant Arms Hotel
2:00pm –3:30pm Alex Gray, Caro Ramsay and Aline Templeton talk about crime writing from the female perspective, with reference to their latest novels.
Fresh Blood –New Crime Writers: The Grant Arms Hotel
4:00pm –5:00pm A panel interview with Mark Douglas-Home, James Oswald and Michael Malone, discussing what attracted them to crime writing.
Twisted Thinking –Inside Crime Writers’ Minds: The Grant Arms Hotel
7:30 pm –9:00pm Chaired by writer Lin Anderson - an informal, light-hearted and interactive evening with a chance for the audience to ask the authors questions about their craft. Includes a competition with prizes! Tea, coffee and nibbles provided.
Tickets for each event cost£5 (£4 concessions) or All-Day tickets, which include all events on Saturday, cost £15 (£13 concessions)
Sunday 27th October
Murder Through the Ages -Historical Crime Fiction: Grantown Museum or The Garth Hotel
2:00pm –3:30pm Shirley McKay and Shona Maclean discuss their novels set in 16th and 17th century Scotland. Exhibition of crime-related objects provided by Grantown Musuem.
Tickets £5.00 including tea, coffee and biscuits.
